Prince George’s 社区 College 演艺中心 Opens for Classes

宽广的博士. (8月. 26, 2019) – The 演艺中心 at Prince George’s 社区 College (PGCC or College) opened for classes August 26. The renovated building is home to Theater, 音乐, Journalism 和 Public Relations, 和广播, 电视, 及电影节目, as well as newly added dance courses.
凯文Veiga, a professional 和 award-winning dancer 和 choreographer, joins the College as the dance professor, 还有安德烈·马泽林, the senior manager of the 演艺中心. The two have been vital in the planning 和 operations of the center, along with other PGCC faculty 和 staff eager to utilize the building 和 engage more students 和 the community in the arts.
While the College has offered these programs in the past, 旧楼, 安妮女王, limited the amount of performances 和 experiences students could gain. On 9月27日, the College will welcome comedians 内特·杰克逊, 把麦克, 杰里米·奥尔索普 for a night of laughter in the Proscenium Theatre. These three seasoned comedians have appeared on a variety of hit shows, including MTV's “Wildin' Out," BET's " Comic View,” 和 Comedy Central's “Laugh Out Loud.” They have also opened for comedic stars, including Dave Chappelle, Damon Wayans, Jay Pharoah.
On 9月28日, the College will bring back the Blues at the 24th Annual Bluebird Blues Festival.
